Chambered in .43 caliber, the M&P9 M2.0 fires a variety of training projectiles, including rubberballs, chalkballs, and markingballs for clear impact visibility. Powered by a 12 g CO₂ capsule, it delivers consistent performance up to 40 shots per cartridge, while maintaining an energy level of less than 5 joules for safe, controlled practice sessions. The magazine holds 8 rounds, replicating the weight and feel of a loaded firearm magazine for enhanced realism during reload drills.
The pistol features the same functional elements found on the live-fire model, such as the single-action trigger, automatic trigger safety, and ergonomic M&P2.0 grip texture that promotes confident, non-slip handling. An integrated Picatinny rail beneath the dust cover allows training lights and lasers to be attached, expanding scenario versatility.
